In terms of support, Darktable comes with excellent, multi-lingual documentation — even the app itself is available in 21 languages!

Most open source folks choose Digikam. Overall, Darktable is the most developed of all the open-source free Lightroom alternatives and is well worth trying out. RawTherapee has all the standard editing features needed in a RAW editor and even includes advanced color controls and lens corrections.
